Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR

This 2-channel DJ controller for rekordbox lets you make the transition from playing at home to performing at parties, bars and eventually clubs. The system inherits all the basic features from Pioneer’s club-standard NXS2 setup and packs them into a lightweight, portable body that’s easy to take to parties and gigs as you progress through the DJ ranks.

The XDJ-RR offers you flexibility, so you can practice and perform however you prefer. It’s compatible with Pioneer’s professional rekordbox dj software, but if you don’t want to use a laptop, you can export your rekordbox-analyzed music to USB storage devices, plug them into the controller and play tracks directly from them.

Keep an eye on all the information you need thanks to the XDJ-RR’s large 7” screen and use performance features and FX inherited from the NXS2 setup, such as Hot Cues, Slip Loop and Beat FX to craft unique mixes on the fly.

A license key for rekordbox dj is included with the XDJ-RR so you can plug it into your PC or Mac straight out of the box and start mixing. If you already own rekordbox dj, upgrade to the latest version to use the XDJ-RR.

Play your own way

The XDJ-RR lets you choose how you’d like to perform. You can plug in your USB drive and play tracks directly, use Link Export mode to access your entire rekordbox library via your laptop without needing to export your music to a USB drive, or, if you’d prefer, you can connect your PC/Mac with a single USB cable to harness Performance mode in rekordbox. It’s all up to you.

See what’s happening on both players simultaneously via the 7-inch colour screen. Keep an eye on the playback status, BPM, waveform, and other information vital to performing creative, smooth sets.

Performance controls

Enhance your mixes using dedicated buttons for performance features. Remix tracks live by triggering Hot Cues in fresh sequences, chop loops on the fly with Beat Loop, use Slip Loop to re-introduce tracks in the perfect place, and bounce to the bar of your choice with Beat Jump.

Mixer with pro features

Deliver fine-tuned mixes with the help of EQs and channel faders which feature the same curves as those on our professional club mixer, the DJM-900NXS2. You can also customize your routines with the popular Beat FX – Echo, Reverb and Flanger – and dial up the texture and tension with Sound Color FX – Filter, Noise, Dub Echo and Pitch.

Performance features

Unlock rekordbox performance features by simply connecting the unit to your PC/Mac. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode.
